(TOPZ) has announced today that on November 1, 2010, the Board of Directors declared a dividend Topaz five additional shares of common stock for each common share held each shareholder of record at the close of business on November 12, 2010. The effective date is scheduled before the market opening November 15, 2010, if the registration dates exact payment are subject to regulatory treatment. What does this mean? I have 5 shares for every share that I have is as you read. What to do with the price? Will be cut to 1/5th of value? Does this mean that is a low stock price to just give away? The 1/5th share price down more or less what the market does during the day. Many companies once paid a stock dividend, because it has no money enough / benefit to pay $ $ $. Not affect its original position. It is also possible that the company is using its money to invest in their businesses. Do not give a bad while, but penny stocks are not really where you should put your money. They are fine on the stock market and easy to use and are usually sold to unsophisticated investors seeking to score big. If you want to play in Las Vegas at least fixing quotas for each game.
